What Temperature Does Water Freeze

Temperature is the amount of kinetic energy present in a substance at a certain point of time. Temperature also determines that the body is in a hot state or cold state. There are different normal temperatures for every substance and there is a perfect temperature too for a substance to be in a perfect state that is, if a substance is hot then what is the perfect point at which it is hot enough. Like wise water also has different degree of temperature like at what temperature does water freeze. Now there is a perfect answer to this query that the water freezes at 0 degree Celsius but temperature also has other units too like Fahrenheit and Kelvin too and they represent different point at water freezing temperature. Therefore in Fahrenheit its 32 degree Fahrenheit and in Kelvin it is 273.15 kelvin at what temperature does water freeze. There are other parameters also which affect the boiling, freezing and melting point of temperature.

Pressure is one of the parameter which affects the water freezing temperature. When we move to a place of higher altitude the freezing point decreases to below 0 degree Celsius as the pressure starts acting on the process of freezing the water and then it takes more time in converting water to ice. Same is the case with salt when salt is added to the water and is kept for freezing then what temperature does water freeze becomes unsure as water when freezes aligns itself in a particular order but salt as an impurity disturbs this order which in turns affects the freezing point of the water and takes more time in freezing it. Sugar if added to the water has a negligible change at what temperature does water freeze and it noticeable by the while measuring it.

Temperature at what temperature does water freeze results in many changes as the density of the water keeps on changing with the change in temperature. When we keep the water for freezing the temperature starts decreasing and so is the density therefore at water freezing temperature that is 0 degree Celsius the density of the water is 999.8395 kilogram/meter cube and it is inversely proportional to the temperature of water. This is the only reason why change in state of water results in change of density and thus water is different from ice though the mass remains the same and the change in state does not effect it.
